Cover EXP lesson as Regular teacher

Sometimes regular teachers would have a chance to cover experience lessons.

EXP lesson definition

Experience lessons, or trial lessons, are mainly for pursuading students to enroll Landi courses.

Remember: You are the first impression our potential students get of Landi English. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

EXP Lessons could be booked up to 5 minutes before the start time of a lesson. So teachers must:

Refresh and check their schedules 5 minutes before EACH slot time

Only select times they KNOW they will be available to teach

EXP lesson requirements

When you cover EXP lessons, you are expected to:

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of the EXP materials in use

  • Have lively, engaging and entertaining lessons

  • Convert every one of your students

  • Deliver high-level lessons at short notice

  • Work closely with your Operator to improve our services to potential students

Payment

When you cover EXP lessons as a REG teacher, you will receive:

  • Slot Rate (the same)

  • Base Pay (0.5 USD per open slot)

  • Conversion Bonus (5 USD per converted student)

When the student is late, the teacher should remain in the lesson for 5 minutes. Reminders will be sent to the student.

If the student still doesn't show up after 5 minutes, the teacher should click the ‘absent’ button on the teacher’s page and exit the lesson without penalty.

The lesson will not be paid (slot rate). However, the slot will count towards the ‘opened’ slots number for the base salary.

The base pay system works like this:

Teacher Andi offers 45 slots for EXP lessons, and 32 slots are marked as 'opened' (used by Landi) for EXP lessons. Then his base pay would be 32 * 0.5 USD, which equals 16 USD.

Lesson memos for EXP slots (Class Performance Report)

The ‘Class Performance Report’ is broken down into sections which relate to the sections of the lesson. Teachers should score the student’s performance as per the matrix.

To complete the report, simply select the number which best represents the students’ ability in that part of the lesson, completes all the sections and then click ‘Submit.’

(Reports cannot be re-edited once sent.)

Deadline for Memo

All reports must be completed and submitted within 30 minutes of the scheduled lesson.

A lesson without a lesson memo is classified as an “Incomplete lesson” and is unpaid.

Additional information

If 2 students were initially scheduled and one was re-scheduled before the lesson, only the student in attendance will appear on the report.

If a student was only present for a portion of the lesson (arrived late, left early, connections issues, etc.), the teacher should score as normal for the sections they attended and score one (1) for all the other absent sections.

All sections must be completed before the report can be submitted.
