Basic Class Rules

Adhere to the Landi Dress Code for teachers. (i.e., casual and kid-friendly.) Wear no improper makeup.

Set up a kid-friendly background (i.e. alphabets, numbers, animals, etc.) Ensure you have appropriate lighting and your camera shows a clear picture.

Maintain an appropriate working place and environment, ensuring there are no distractions during class (e.g. background noise, other people or pet in the video, etc.).

Be familiar with all platform functions and teaching materials, make sure you are aware of what and where the key words are and how to get all students involved. Be fully prepared for all classes.

Do not overuse digital props. Manycam effects bring fun and attract kids’ attention to you during class, but improper usage may block a portion of your video, block useful TPR (body language, facial expression, tone), and block facial expressions.

Refrain from eating or sleeping during classes (including chewing gum and candy, and yawning).

Avoid any personal use of cellphones, typing for long with head down, impaired concentration on screen or kids.

Be punctual, keep track of time and use the full 25 minutes for classes. Avoid prolonged silence. Use your time effectively.

Commitments to students

In fulfillment of the obligation to students, Landi Teachers shall:

Give timely praises and enough trophies according to students’ performance. Encourage and balance students’ participation.

Pay full attention to students throughout the classes (video play time included). Treat all students with courtesy and respect. Recognize and address students by their names at all times. Provide a positive learning environment for students.

Write personalized memos after class. Avoid dismissive or overly critical comments during class or in the memos.

Incorporate TPR (body language, facial expression, tone). Be energetic and active during class.

Correct students’ pronunciation & grammatical errors timely and efficiently.

Give simple, clear and concise instructions. Use level-appropriate language.
