The Override System

Making last minute changes or cancelling a student’s lesson creates a poor experience for everyone.

All issues originating from a teacher’s location have consequences for the teacher. We know unintended things can happen (Power Outages) or even unforeseeable events (inclement weathers) can impact your carefully prepared schedule, which is why we have introduced our ‘Override’ System.

What is an ‘override’ and how to use it?

Each teacher receives two overrides per month (they do not roll over).

During the Nesting coach period, only one override is available.

Each override can only cover one case.

Two overrides can only cover a maximum of 16 slots.

Examples

1 Day sickness – Impacting multiple slots (less than 16 slots), could be one override.

One week sickness—Impacting three days 24 slots (more than 16 slots). Two overrides used. The remaining 8 slots will cause penalties but no warnings will be issued.

To be eligible to use an Override for a cancellation, the Appeal MUST be completed WITHIN 48 hours with valid evidence.

In the case of a power outage, an override can only be used if your prepared backup (which is a must) is also down.

What would happen after using my override?

Any Financial Penalty is removed (the teacher is NOT charged with a penalty - 2 or 10 USD)

Any Warnings are removed

Full attendance award is not applicable
