Device Requirements
All Landi English lessons are conducted online. Make sure you keep your operation system up-to-date and your internet speed is stable and fast.
System Requirement
Window 7 and above
macOS 10.11 and above
At least 4GB RAM
Intel I5 or better
At least 3 Mbps upload speed
You also need to have these:
Use a headset with a microphone and stable output and input.
You can test your microphone and sound on the Landi teaching platform.
HD External camera or HD integrated camera. Most laptops will have one.
You can test your microphone and sound on the Landi teaching platform.
Plug directly into your internet with an ethernet cable instead of using WiFi. This will ensure a steady internet connection during your Landi class and will reduce video and audio lag.
If your laptop does not have a port for this, you can buy a USB adaptor.
You always want your face to be well lit when you are teaching. Teaching in front of a window with natural light shining on your face isn't always possible, so we use these bright white lights to simulate natural light.
An UPS (uninterrupted power supply) provides guaranteed power for computers, external hard-drives and other electronics, including your wireless router, so you can stay connected to your network and IoT devices when you need it most.

Before your lesson, make sure you:
close any unnecessary tabs or programs
set your clock properly
temporarily disable your anti-virus during login and connections
Windows 10 has a feature for scheduling ‘Update Re-Starts’.
This feature can, and usually, happen just before or during lessons. This is troublesome.
To fix this, go to Settings --> Update & Security and change the ‘Change active hours’ or ‘Restart options’ as necessary.
*Overrides cannot be used against ANY system (PC / Mac) re-starts.
Internet Speed
Teachers are responsible for ensuring their domestic connection is stable, consistent and of sufficient bandwidth. Teachers should use a connection speed testing service to measure their ‘real-world’ speed, and not rely on the Internet Service Provider’s stated speeds.
Check the connection speed using www.speedtest.net
When testing your connection, please remember to:
Check at different times of the day
Check at the times you will have a lesson
Check the connection with a local server in your own country
Check the connection with a distant server in your own country
