# Taxes

As a Landi teacher, you are an independent contractor, not an employee. As an independent contractor you are responsible for paying taxes and fulfilling all legal obligations in your country of residence.

The amount you need to set aside will vary based on your state, local, and federal laws.

The responsibilities mentioned above could change along with future government policy changes in China.

If you need a proof of your salary, please contact the HR team for help.
